Hydrogen-Rich Water: A Promising Treatment for Newborn Lung Disease

A Japanese study found that hydrogen-rich water may help treat bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), a lung disease that affects premature babies. The study used newborn rats and found that those that drank hydrogen-rich water had healthier lungs and were less likely to die from BPD. This could lead to new treatments for BPD and improve the lives of thousands of premature babies every year.
